Frequently Asked Questions

How do i place an order?

We recommend that you make an initial enquiry by email, making sure you give as much detail as possible including the date required, type of occasion, any ideas or preferences you may have had/seen and your approximate budget.  After we receive these details we can provide a tailored quote, if you wish to go ahead a 50% deposit will need to be paid to secure your booking. It is best to get booked in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment however we will try our very best to squeeze in any last minute orders if we can.

Do you deliver?

We are based in Frogmore, St Albans, Hertfordshire. Collection is preferred for most orders, however we can deliver to surrounding areas for an additional charge depending upon availability. The delivery is quoted based on location and is calculated taking distance and time into account. Due to the cakes being fragile we do not post or offer courier delivery.

What size cake do I need?

This will depend on how many guests you need the cake to feed.  We have provided an approximate guide at the bottom of this page, but please feel free to get in touch, so we can help you decide the right size cake to be sure every guest is served.  We will provide a cutting guide when an order is collected/delivered to help you get the maximum servings from your cake.

Full information regarding transportation and storage will be provided to each customer, however as a guide line we highly recommend cakes are placed flat in the front passenger foot well or the boot, so you should ensure these areas are clean and clear before collecting. Placing your cake on a lap, seat or uneven surface may effect the stability and internal structure of the cake and cause damage to it.

Cakes must NOT be refrigerated unless advised otherwise. This will dry the cake out, accelerate staling, effect the icing, and will alter the taste.  All cakes should be stored in the box they are packaged in and kept in a cool area out of direct sunlight. We recommend eating within 7-10 days if stored correctly. Cakes can be frozen and kept up to 3 months.

We recommend our cupcakes are eaten on the day of delivery when they are at their freshest, however they will last several days if stored correctly in the box they are delivered in.  We suggest they are eaten within 3 days.  Please do not keep them in the fridge as this will dry the cakes out quicker.
